Medicine Ways: Teachings of Native American Spirituality

Ever since she was a small girl, Tolly Tucker has felt the call of the Native American way. Over ten years ago, she began to work with a Native teacher, and has since become a Water Pourer (ritual leader) for the Purification Lodge (sweat lodge), a pipe carrier and the leader of the Ancient Spirit Drummers. This 5-woman group has just come back from their 7th year at Stone Dance in Kansas, where they chant and drum all night for several nights to support the dancers in this ancient ceremony.

 In this experiential evening, to give us a taste of what happens in the Lodge, Tolly will lead us in the prayers and chants of the Four Directions, and a meditation with the Native American flute. The dynamic Ancient Spirit Drummers will also perform.
