Have you ever asked yourself "why me?"
Do you stay with the question in your mind about why something is happening to you and why you were chosen to live out that particular experience and circumstance?
Do you ever use perception as your weapon of choice to battle the demons when hope seems lost and sadness reigns?
I determined a long time ago that everything that happened in my life was a gift that would always serve a higher purpose. I now recognize it is…

You may want to ask yourself:
How are you fulfilling your dreams?
How are you enjoying yourself?
What is new in your life?
People, decisions, goals….have they changed?
Are you still making excuses so you can allow your ego to stagnate without feeling guilty?
Are you still pointing fingers of blame to others to ignore the opportunities that are coming your way?
Are you still trying to defend…

Notes to Myself
We have been undergoing a deep excavation process for a long time now. We have looked deep within our hearts and dealt with a lot of things we may have buried for some time. We were bombarded with issues that needed to be handled and resolved. Many of the things we were able to handle were handled; some issues couldn’t be resolved due to circumstances. The challenges we couldn't resolve for one reason or another were placed to the side for the time being to be dealt…

A few weeks ago I decided to make some radial changes in my life and take my power back in some areas that I have given it away. I have had this habit of taking care of people to the detriment of my own health, personallity and even my business. Part of my SHIFT involved me moving out of my home, not only to downsize but to aid in movement of my roommate that continues to show-up at my doorstep in need of a place to live. The roommate happens to be a dear friend and my childrens father. It's…

Journey of the Energy shifts within the New World
The New awakening
The true you is arising from deep within.
You will experience the irritation, frustration, sometimes even anger of interactions and situations that are connected to old persuasions, old beliefs and old truths.
It is wrapped in different situations with the same core and essence of old experiences, as it was kept alive within. Allow yourself to be reminded of how and why you kept…

Letting Go
Notes to Myself
I am a very easygoing person and can be very adaptable. If there is a way that I can make someone else's life easier or help them out in any way I will always do so. I would go to the ends of the earth for the people I love and care about. I have spent so much of my life trying to please and help other people. I have had a tendency to conform to what someone's expectation of me is. I have gratefully come to a point in my life where I can no…

Today, someone had a rough day.
Today, mine was fantastic, as it almost always is.
Today, someone rushed about mindlessly, going from one task to another.
Today, I followed my rhythm and all flowed perfectly.
Today, someone was harsh toward another person for no real reason.
Today, I found a new way to be kind.
Today, someone stressed out about what they…

Awakening
Notes to Myself
This year has been challenging beyond belief for me, and I believe for many others as well. It has been a long time since I have had a period of such non-stop intensity. I can barely catch my breath before one set of issues is resolved and the next batch arises! I have had to really pace myself during this fluctuating time. This is a major period of intense growth in our evolutionary process. We are having to pay close attention to our health,…

As an animal communicator, I too often receive panicked calls from clients, whose beloved pets are in the animal hospital, invariably awaiting test results.
I received such a call from a client who had just returned from visiting her dog in the hospital. They were waiting for test results, the dog had been in the hospital for two days.
My client visited and held her dog for over an hour, she said the kennels were kept so cold she couldn’t get her dog to stop shaking.
“What should…

Today, we will focus a nutritional error which contributes to weight gain as well as other health problems -- the use of Splenda.
Myth: Splenda is all natural.
This is an all too common perception. It is also very inaccurate. The process of creating splenda starts with a single sugar molecule called sucrose. Sucrose is commonly known as table sugar. Then, a complex chemical progress adds substances such as phosgene. What is phosgene?
It is a chemical warfare…

I realize this article isn’t about web or internet marketing, but how about the unseen forces that help to market your business? Doesn’t that count? Last month started off slow for me, so when that happens I do my best in the conventional ways to get the word out but I also spend time amping up the energy in my work space. Both seem to work wonders, especially if you do them at the same time. I always say that you can visualize and manifest all you want, but if you are not taking tangible steps…

Dear Shannon,
That is an amazing list! One can tell you have taken time and thoughtfulness in creating your list of ideals.
May I make a suggestion. Perhaps you might break your list into three categories. the first list being all the things you
must have in an ideal partner, and a second list would be the things you want and desire, but are negotiable and the third list the characteristics and things you could not live with or accept in a partner. If a person has any of the…

Let the Beauty We Love
Today, like every other day, we wake up empty
and frightened. Don’t open the door to the study
and begin reading. Take down a musical instrument.
Let the beauty we love be what we do.
There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground

With gusts that seemed at times to be in the pre-hurricane range, hundreds of heart-y and hardy souls gathered on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, on May 17, 2009. This same structure made famous by the pounding feet and upraised arms of Rocky were the holy ground for a gentler endeavor; the 7th Annual Yoga Unites For Living Beyond Breast Cancer. Its purpose is to bring together survivors, their families and friends, as well as generate awareness…
