Calling a 'Do Over'

Remember as kids making a mistake while playing a game and calling a “DO OVER”?

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could call that at any time in our lives? Well, why
can’t we?

I remember years ago starting a new career and falling short of my own
expectations. Feeling pretty frustrated about creating a undesired reputation,
my manager gave me the greatest advice. He said Fran, tomorrow is a new day and
you can start over as a new you. It’s your life and you get to be whoever you’d
like. No one you meet from today on will know that about that you if you don't
want them to.

I took that with me for many years and practiced it often. What a relief to
know I don’t have to be the person I was today or yesterday if it didn’t serve
me. What an opportunity for growth and development!

Look in your life today and see where you would like to call a ‘DO OVER’. Would
you like to be a more patient parent, or be more daring? Would you like to
handle a situation differently and produce different results? Would you like to
be seen in a different light by your peers?

It’s very possible and even necessary for transformation. Know that you have
the ability to be a new you at any time you decide.
