Generosity, a lesson learned from a child

You know I love blogging about my children. I have a grown family and now my husband and I have adopted two children and are starting over raising them. Whew! What I have found is that if you listen, and watch you can learn so much about life from these little buggers it is absolutly amazing! My son, who is now 3 has become the most loving and generous child. He was having his hair cut the other day and like a grown man when the stylist (my sister) brushed him off, removed the cape, he stepped out of the chair.(down from the booster seat) then he reached into his pocket pulled out his imaginary money and said to her, "Here you go I have a $1,000.00 for you!" I was blown away by his 1. ability to understand tipping and 2. that he was so generous. She too was taken back for a moment then she looked at him, took the money and placed it into her pocket and graciously thanked him for his kindness. Wow. Isn't this the way we should all be! I have decieded that in this new journey, rather than trying to teach my children so much I will be the student and watch and listen to the glorious things they have to teach me! Thanks for celebrating my life and hope yours is equally as blessed. pat
