Most people say that when they’re successful, then they'll be happy. Do you believe this? I don't! I believe that it’s really the opposite. You need to be happy first and then your success will follow. If you can’t be happy now, you won’t be happy in the future. You can’t rely on outside circumstances to determine your happiness. It comes from within. Happiness a state of mind. It's a choice You need to choose to be happy.
When you’re happy, people will be attracted to you. You'll become a client magnet. On top of that, your creativity and productivity are elevated when you’re happy. In fact, there were studies done which determined that the salespeople who were genuinely happy outperformed their co-workers who were pessimists by about 55 percent.
You might be thinking that you really want to feel happier, but you don't know how. So here are three tips to get you started.
1. First, live in a constant state of gratitude. When you focus on what you already have from a heartfelt place, you’ll be reminded about how fortunate you are. I recommend that you get yourself a journal and call it a 'Gratitude Journal." Keep it by your bed and every night before you go to sleep write at least 10 things that you're grateful for. And remember the things that we take for granted – like the sun, your eyesight, running water, indoor plumbing. You get the idea.
2. Next, remember to smile. A smile can transform your whole attitude.
3. And finally, it’s really important to have the balance between work and play so you won’t feel stressed all the time. If you keep working harder and don’t take “me time” I guarantee that your business will suffer. Schedule time for you each day to nurture yourself, do things that you enjoy and have fun!
