It’s Time to Surrender, Just Like Oprah Did!

When you have a desire, anything and everything is possible. Even if people think you're nuts. Even if people tell you NO. As the saying goes "When there's a will, there's a way!" And I've experienced this first hand over and over again.

Just last week I was upgrading my cell phone and decided to upgrade my family plan. I was told by the rep at AT&T that the only difference between my current phone plan and the new one would be $1. Everything else would remain the same. So I agreed to change my plan. But what the rep failed to tell me was that I would lose 150 minutes each month. I would only have 700 minutes instead of 850. That did not make me happy.

So I called AT&T several times and was told that it was impossible for me to get my old plan back. What they said was that "it was no longer in their system." I would not accept that answer. I kept pursuing it and also surrendered my predicament to God. I said "God, I believe in miracles. I believe that you can help me. Please help me get my old plan back." And then I surrendered.

Low and behold, two days later I received a message on my voice mail that my issue had been resolved!!

It was funny because while all this was going on I stumbled upon a Facebook post of an Oprah Masterclass YouTube video. I listened to it and Oprah spoke about how she strongly desired to be in the movie "The Color Purple." She really wanted to play Cecie. In fact, Oprah said that she felt the storyline really related to her own personal life. And Cecie's husband in the movie was named Harpo which was Oprah's name spelled backwards. She said that if this wasn't a sign from above she doesn't know what is!

But, Oprah was told that she had no experience and there was another actress who read for the part that was very seasoned. She was feeling so badly that she actually went to a "Fat Farm" as she called it to lose some weight. She thought that if she was thinner maybe that would help her get the role.

Then Oprah got an intuitive message that she needed to surrender. The minute she surrendered to God, she got a telephone call that she landed the role of Celie!!

So let me ask you these two questions.

Where are you losing faith when it comes to your business?

What do you think can't happen for you?
